BALUSTER GUARDRAIL SPACING AND SAFETY

Newer standards only allow 4 inches of spacing between balusters on guardrails. This is to help prevent small kids from falling through them and getting injured. Often the heights are not a big deal and people will ignore the comment in the home inspection report. The video linked to below shows very well as to why the spacing can be very very important.
